About Us

Loudwater Pre-School is set in the heart of the village of Loudwater, on the outskirts of High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. The Pre-School is long established. We serve the children and families of Loudwater and beyond, offering a welcoming, caring and nurturing environment.

We welcome children from the age of 2 years, offering both funded (universal funding entitlement) and non-funded places. We operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9.15am to 1.00pm, term time only.

We aim to provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment, where every child is given the opportunity, and encouraged to reach their full potential. To this end, we highly value the input of the children, their parents and carers, our staff and outside agencies.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and has been designed for all children.

Records are kept of each child's positive achievements and progress whilst at pre-school. Parents are welcome to contribute to them at any time.  The records are confidential and will only be seen by the child's parents, pre-school staff, Buckinghamshire County Council Early Years team and Ofsted inspectors.  They will be given to parents when the child leaves us.

Our children take maximum advantage of our outdoor area and woodlands throughout the year, in all weathers (predominantly in summer). Children use full sized tools, play, learn boundaries of behaviour; both physical and social, establish and grow in confidence, self-esteem and become self motivated.

Our Mission

For many children, starting at pre-school is their first steps towards independence. At Loudwater Village Pre-School our aim is to help them mix socially and to develop through a wide range of experiences and activities in a safe and happy environment.

With the emphasis on play, activities include music, singing, painting, water play, craft and dressing up. We have a secure garden area where the children can play with a range of outdoor toys.
